Personally speaking, I'd go and see Speedy J.
At least you'll get beats AND melody, not digital farting for 10 hours.
When your head gets so far up the machines anus that you can see the light
of day, its time to find the melody.
The soul is in the human not the other way round.
Maybe I don't "get" Autechre at the moment and in a few years time I'll
stick them on for old times sake and be mortified at how deaf I was but at
this moment my hearing is fine.
I really hope I'm wrong.

This Wednesday in London:
Autechre
or
Ritchie Hawtin + Speedy J
- Having already seen Autechre in '97 and having been a bit
disappointed by the incredible mess that it was, I was thinking of
going to see Speedy J (I couldn't care less for Ritchie Hawtin), but
is Speedy J any good live ? and how do Autechre sound live these days
?...
I also heard that Squarepusher was opening for Tortoise on May 1st in
London. Is that true ?
Thanks, :-)
Topher.
