Deepart is the longtime guise of lowlands producer
Andi Hart. Deepart released the first three 'pictured'
10" back in the mid 90s all of which featured a deep
detroit-flavored electronica somewhere between carl
craig and black dog productions. This pictured
releases were on my tops of 95/96 and still get an
occassional play on my turntables.
After the Deepart records Andi Hart released two
records on his own Myoclon label which featured
a darker electro-tinged sound. I wasnt as fond
of these as i was the Pictured 10"s.
Last year Deepart released the 'collage #1' ep
which featured several tracks from the first
three Deepart eps as well as a few newer ones.
A nice little 'summary' of the Deepart sound
so far. Last year also saw the release of
pictured #4 but again i have yet to find that
one.
Within the next few months Deepart is set to
release pictured #5 as well as an ep for Delsin.
Before the Deepart records Andi Hart released a
series of 12"s on his own Andihart label but I
was never able to find those so i cant comment
on them.
I dont know if any Deepart tracks ever made
it onto cd or if there are any online sources
to hear but i wouldnt be suprised if Marsel
over at Forcefield or any of the Norte Route
broadcast crew might have some Deepart
soundbites available. So visit them at
