Right on with the Ogre comparison. Made me laugh out loud just reading it..... Went to my local record store today and heard the following: Matmos-A Chance To......wow!!!!!! i had to stop listening to it after like 4 songs and just buy it. This album should elevate Matmos to hew heights. If these two aren't one the most inventive and creative duos in electronic music, i don't know who is. Superb production, ever-changing structures, great use of filters........phew! I am not that great of fan of Bjork, but i am really curious to see what they will do for her. Kid 606 rmx. ep on Force Labs. I thought they weren't going to continue with that sub-sub label anymore? Farben, Twerk, Kid himself and i think someone else but i can't seem to remember right now. I love hearing the Kid do his take on 4/4, techno-oriented stuff. I didn't really enjoy the Farben mix, but Twerk's was outstanding. Looks like the Drool String is really working for him...... and i also skimmed through the Crunch cd and the Plug Research comp. that is about to come out. The Crunch was great, although my head was already done in by the Matmos by the time i got to listen to it. I am sure that i will be picking it up soon. If it has anything to do with Funkstorung (didn't someone on the list establish that?), then i found it a lot more interesting than the Marion disc and Appetite, but that's just me. As far as the Plug Research comp, well i only got a couple of tracks into that as well. I was just glad to see Jamie Hodge make his return to Plug. Reminds me to pull out that track he did for them that came on white vinyl a long time ago......... And just for the record, GNR fucking rules. I haven't heard a new song, is it online somewhere?
