Don't get me wrong, I think its a fine piece of work. Personally, I don't think it warrants the hail of great reviews it's been getting. For me, it's hibrow housetrax with a v.delay signature, which is great for dj's, not so great on cd. philip, your comment on how he breaks up vocals etc, i think that's been going on a long time, you could easily point to Todd Edwards, who's been slicing up and skewing vocals for years. vd's other releases on force are more interesting. picked up a buckfunk 3000 12 on Language called "FutureShockPlanetRock", not sure what the release date is though it sounds similar to his current breaks work. Very acidy, very deconstructed. Anyone know whats up with Language these days? Also picked up a Bigfoot 12 on Eukatek from 95 that is really sick hard tech-house, a bit like neil landstrumm I would like to add that the lyrical content for what it is on Vocalcity esp. on Tessio is above the usual house-tripe and makes me smile...
