there is small difference between the noticable quality of records and
cds(you have to listen close on a good stereo to actually notice it)
the best arguement for vinyl is the "hidden frequencies", how its an
infinite small to infinite large freq. response range when it comes to
vinyl, and how some of those frequencies can affect you subconsiously
but most people who buy records record them on to cd/md for frequent
listening anyway, so if its quality, why dont the record companies do it and
save you the trouble(ie its a fettish, plain and simple, but who can argue
with a 12" piece of plastic as oppossed to a 5" piece of plastic, the
pictures just bigger[who loves gatefolds!!])
