This is so dead on! Same to fence-jumping New Romantics! Mutherfuckers and their hairdos. They can't break dance. They've got no street creed like Vincent Gallo. I'm just keepin' it real. In all seriousness, I think it's been kind of cool to see the cross pollination of the indie-rock/electronic scene. At the same time, it seems like a lot of that scene (at least the people I knew) were really down on electronic music a few years back. Now those same poeople are asking me if I've ever heard of Squarepusher. Weird. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Stephen(of Zygote) > http://www.undertheradar.net _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

<extreme sarcasm and bitterness...> Yeah they're nuthin but a bunch of shoe-gazing, heroin-smoking ["my veins are too fragile"], know-nothing, My Bloody Valentine wannabes... oh look if I play my guitar through all these effects it sounds like I can actually play it properly... wankers! msg to Tortoise - "Enough with the fucking xylophone glockenspiel & bells already!!" - WOW! using an non-traditional "rawk" instrument, very fucking original... </extreme sarcasm and bitterness> -i NP: Tortoise - Standards --- under the radar <analog_life@hotmail.com> wrote:

they usually at some point get into post-rock, and then make the jump into more "listener friendly" IDM as in BOC etc...as alot of this kind of stuff is either on warp or matador. it's all cool, but i do agree about the fashion posing nerd from the early 80's indie-rock look, but you have to admit though that those little indie-pop chicks are hot, and alot of the posing is to get the indie-pop chickies...ahh those guys are sooo sensitive. just my $.02 JD2
