i would like to start organizing a weekly or bi-weekly event in los angeles
that would feature audio and visual art.
this would be leaning towards the experimental end of things, although
nobody should be cancelled out.
los angeles just needs something like this.
i've been talking to a few people already about this, i'm just waiting for
their phone calls.
unfortunately i know of no investors, and i don't have the money to do it
myself.
i have graphic skills and i spin some experimental techno and house
that's what i have to throw into the mix.
i know there's many people in this town who would like to see something like
this happen. it's been to long without.
and between myself and the calarts peoples, i'm sure we know enough visual
artists to get something interesting happening there too.
something like a new artist showcased every time the event goes off, or just
every month.
actually, the guy who's in the group illogical srl also throws art show
events, and i'm definately gonna try to get in touch with him once i have a
list of people interested to present to him. also i spoke with one of the
bud brothers this past weekend, and he seemed interested.
this type of thing may take some patience and even some disappointment at
first. but you can't have a great thing just happen instantly. with enough
press and enough flyering (at art schools, record stores, etc.) i'm sure we
can get the right kind of crowd and the right kind of vibe.
