Hot on the heels of last year's release of Komet's excellent Rausch
cd on 12k, Bretschneider releases his second cd for Mille Plateaux
entitled 'Curve.' Unlike Rausch which was an excercise in
anti-rhythmic minimalism/microsound, Curve adds a little more body
and structure to it's tracks while still allowing itself to retain a
'minimal electronica' tag. So built around the skeletal rhythmic
structure of Curve's tracks are ghostly hints melodies and sporadic
outbursts of cybersounds much in the way that Rand, Bretschneider's
previous album for Mille Plateaux, did. Bottom line is that if you
enjoyed previous Bretschneider, Raster/Noton, or 12k releases then
this one will work for you as well.
