While I await an FTP connection, I am listening to the new Monolake CD, "gravity". Damn is it good!!! I love this. it seems like more of a return to the territory of Hong Kong with some of the Reaktor stylings present on Interstate and Gobi Desert. I really love it!!! Thanks to Andrew Schrock a.k.a. Entropy Struct a.k.a. DJ Hand CorkScrew for the recommend on this one. Oh, did he mention he's playing a show in the State this weekend? I will second this recommendation. The new Monolake is excellent. The original appeal of "Interstate" sort of wore off for me after several listens, but "Gravity" has more stick as far as that goes, really really nice tracks. I like the balance between the more ambient material and the more Reaktor-based stuff, but it doesn't sound so completely software based as Interstate, if that makes any sense. Anyway, be sure to check it out.... definitely a great disc. bye
