hi all,
i know a couple of people mentioned the new Warp site is up - which it is,
and it's very nice, at that:
http://warp-net.com
[obviously!]
particularly of interest is a 'Warp roster' posted on the news section,
confirming some of the new Warp artists like Vincent Gallo, plus
Chris Clark (who's he? anyone?), and, confirming a rumor that's been
circulating for a while, Brothomstates.
for those not in the know, Brothomstates is Lassi Nikko from Helsinki, who
was pretty legendary on the PC demo/music-scene as Dune/Orange, and was part
of the loose 'scene' up in Hki which included Lackluster and md (tho md is
now in London and Lackluster is in Canada, doh!) Anyhow, Bstates released
recently on Merck, Defocus (remixing Lackluster), and has an EP out on Rikos
Records from Finland, and he also played at the last Nesh night in London.
his website says it better than me, anyhow, and even includes an excellent
discography and many mp3/wma downloads (an old album and 3 live sets!):

congrats to BStates, anyhow - we await his forthcoming Warp material with
much interest.
later,

ps - also note the new Tortoise - "Standards" - is out on Warp/Thrill Jockey
in a coupla weeks. niiiiice. Warp are going all American, aren't they? ;)
