rm74 - mikrosport (CD domizil)
In the digital compositions of Reto Mäder aka rm74, a world is generated
with granularly sketched pixel- and microsounds that approach unobtrusive
to the listener with a working method close to the
macroscopic; an imaginary acoustic plan opens up and leads us to warm and
cold places in Mäders experience park of little things. rm74 likes to fall
back on source material like flirring neons, as well as digital and
analogous mistake origin, that form the scaffolding of the single units,
and sometimes longing little melodious pearls flash up; craft and skill in
the microbe empire: Microsport even.

Micromusic.net is an underground sound community, a digital lifestyle
platform for screen-kidz, joystick-lovers and audioNerds. A web
entertainment park for talented & creative sound_trackerz, for all low-tech
producers with a high-tech way of living. 'micro_superstarz2000' is a
collection of the most interesting trackz activated online during the first
12 months. It is a reconcentration of the content of Micromusic's website
which is already a concentrate of 700 submitted pieces of music in the past
year. Micromusic's mission is to define quality in a quantity_producing
media_machine.
The online_success of micromusic.net is immense: within 12 months the group
has become one of the 'in_spots' for electronic musicians worldwide. Famous
people like Cylob, Lektrogirl, Bodenstaendig2000, Aphex Twin have become
micro_members and publish their unreleased music
at micromusic.net. The magazine of 'ministry of sound' chose micromusic.net
as the 'underground web_music_site_project of the year 2000'. Produced on
personal computer systems using sounds down_sampled from
computer_game_consoles like Nintendo, Playstation, Gameboy and Commodore64,
it is a most diversified album including deep_ambient music, chipstyle_pop,
joystick_d.n.b , bedroom_ electro and neuro_funk. Micromusic created with
it's concept a very own style: The micro_style. The CD comes with a data
part for windows and mac computers including a
micromusic_game (enabling users to get more information about the featured
artists), some low_tech sound_tools recommended by the micromusic crew
plus a collection of 14.000(!) sid_sound_files produced on commodore64
computers within the past 20 years!
