that sucks that falui sofoce was rejected from mp3.com cause of a sample from gundam, who would ever check up on that anyhow? on the topic of anime samples, ive noticed a few tracks by new artists that utilize anime as sampling source, tho im surprised that i dont hear enough..i would expect that a lot of artists in this genre would be influenced by it, as they have the same kind of sci-fi underground asthetic.. does anyone know of other sources of anime influenced idm/electronic musics? any input much appreciated ken -- On Mon, 15 Jan 2001 23:16:57 CAPOIIEE wrote:

me a copy of a promo cdr of the free tracks or whatever... i've never really heard anything really similar, its very pop-structured, melody driven, but also very creative IMHO.. he's got some dope tracks. My friend told me that actually the 1st one on the cd was rejected from mp3.com due to a long sample from gundam wing... how fhat is that? everyone should go check him out, no doubt.. i think the express url is like mp3.com/faluisofoce or something, if not just do a search peace -pete At 03:25 PM 1/15/2001 -0500, you wrote:

Well there's the Makai track "Beneath the Mask" which samples Ghost in the Shell. There's an old X Marks the Pedwalk (industrial) track called "Human Desolation" that samples Akira. And then there's a Takshaka track called Motoko2501 which is based on Ghost in the Shell and also samples the soundtrack... ...that's everything off the top of my head. --Sharon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Weeell, not to be spamming here, but the final remix (#13) at http://www.remixworld.com/idmrmx/ (which, uh, incidentally was done by me :) contains a few samples from Serial Experiments Lain... -- Kurt Bernhard Pruenner --- Haendelstrasse 17 --- 4020 Linz --- Austria Music: http://www.mp3.com/Leak --- Work: http://www.ssw.uni-linz.ac.at .......It might be written "Mindfuck", but it's spelt "L-A-I-N"....... np: Savath+Savalas - Transportation Theme (Folk Songs For Trains, Trees And Honey) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
