Top of my mp3 page '010101' -- named because I assembled and
mixed it the morning of the new milleneum.
It's a remix of a post-rock tune by a guy in town here named Brian
Geiss, though I've rendered it unrecognizable through sampling, cutting,
filtering, processing and distortion. Aside from some drum
hits sampled from the original track and ring modulated, all the
percussion was made by drawing waveforms with the pencil tool in
Sound Forge.
The bassline was constructed by cutting up a trumpet sample, pitching
it down three octaves, and overdriving it. All the melodic parts
came from the same trumpet sample as well...
