hey, This is about as off topic as you could get, but: someone mentioned it before, so- be careful of the Robitussin, certain types of it anyway, as well as many other cough medicines- they took a bunch of them off the market. Anything with phenylpropanolamine can cause a supposedly cause a stroke! I dunno - I wouldn't take the chance now. Your pharmacy should have taken them off the shelf, but if you have it in your house, IMO throw it out!... I found a nearly finished bottle of Robitussin CF (ah it was a good year) in my kitchen had the stuff, oops. But I took it just for a cough, not recreational purposes... cheers, happy holidays Atom -- electronic.music.MELANGE.electronic.music.electronic. ----> http://www.melange.org <------ .media/scoring/art/design http://www.andr0id.com "Look for beauty where it is not supposed to be found." -Claes Oldenburg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yes, Coricidin is a nasty one so watch out for that brand. If people are really interested, then you should just buy the raw DXM ( www.jlfcatalog.com ) or extract it yourself from the cough syrup (which is a simple porcess really). If one were interested, she might find information on how to extract using the "Agent Lemon" method on the Lycaeum pages. ( www.lycaeum.org ) or more directly at http://third-plateau.lycaeum.org/ or through the very encompassing FAQ at http://www.frognet.net/dxm/ When used properly DXM can be the most beautiful experience. ----- Original Message ----- From: atom <kadrock@pipeline.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Saturday, December 23, 2000 8:30 PM Subject: [idm] OT: tussin

I was shocked when I saw the headline that they were banning a number of cough supupressants. I thought the days of legal DXM were finally at an end. Luckily, to my suprise, it was that cray PNP chemical that was giving people strokes that caused the recall, not the crazy hallucinogen/cough suppressant. And of course the biggest warning to anyone out there with cough syrup: NEVER drink any syrup containing Acetominophen!=death. CPI - experimental noise at http://www.mp3.com/cpi/ DXM - abstract ambient at http://www.mp3s.com/dxm1/ ......and of course... http://www.mp3.com/AwkwardBehaviour "Wouldn't you say, Pooh?" / "Say what?" asked Pooh, opening his eyes. / "Music and Living-" / "The same thing," said Pooh. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Not to be critical but it looks as if you are saying that Acetominophen does not equal death (the !=). Acetominophen=death (starting with bad liver effects at over 10,000 mg) On an IDM related tip, I ordered every Ae CD that Warp had (I figuered that I wanted the real thing and not just the mp3s). Does anyone know about how long it will take to get that stuff to South Cali (I ordered it from warprecords.com)? Just curious. ---------- Jordan Koch http://www.digitalnoise.net "Teacher: "Conan, What is best in life?" right right, because acetominophen is also the active ingredient in bayer and tylenol, right? http://my.webmd.com/content/asset/uspdi.202001 i'm not particularly interested in the "hallucinogenic uses" of cough syrup, but an overdose is an overdose. no need to get people worried :D sorry for the off topic post. enough about cough syrup? ;) i've particularly liked arovane's "tides" this year, along with side A of two lone swordsmen's "a virus with shoes." all music should be like "it hits" :D cheers, /derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
