You know that little speaker icon next to your clock in win9x? when you
double click that, you can go to the "Options/Properties" menu item and then
when you're in there click the 'recording' radio button.. in the box below,
make sure there is a checkmark next to "What You Hear" then hit 'ok'... the
volume control sliders change to recording level controls... put a checkmark
in the box below the "What U Hear" slider and adjust the recording level to
yer liking.. Then when you are in your recording prog, it should record all
the noise that is currently coming out your speakers (via your soundcard)...
Tip: to reduce noise, go back to the original volume control slider and mute
all the selections you wont be working with... for example - if I have my
CD-ROM unmuted when I record in "What U Hear" mode, even if im not using the
cdrom, Ill get some nasty whitenoise in my recordings.. :P
Hope I helped.. if not, then i don't know... i must have a special SBLive.
cheers.

Subject: [idm] SB Live!
I've got a question whose answer is probably staring me right in the face.
In my computer I have a Creative SB Live! soundcard which has a wonderful
"Environmental Audio" setting which generates all sorts of effects on sound
output. While fucking around with loops and whatnot on my system I'll
change
the Environmental Audio setting and love the sound. How can I record these
effected sounds onto to my hardrive with the effects present? Am I making
sense? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
dmt.
