This disc has unfortunately been ignored by what I can tell from the postings on this list. Do yourself a favor...check it out. Very subtle, but really nice. It seems to borrow from the minimalist camp (not enough to call it minimal), the neo-dubby BC/CR stable (yet it isn't dub) and it has a soporific pace which is nearly ambient - not quite. Soft, lush, well put-together. jeff -- jeff ?/~THINK OUTSIDE OF YOUR SITCOM~\! Is that the one (his first) which he originally did as a cdr with a sort of burlap cover? Great one as well. I don't think "Sequins" is released yet - or else my preorder accidentally got lost. It's supposed to be Tomas' "housey" edition, right? Can't wait. jeff np: Herbert - "Let's All Make Mistakes" (love this..it's everything I love about Herbert) component wrote:

Agreed; this release just gets better on repeated listenings. Great headphones-in-the-dark music. It has both a dub and an ambient feel, but with greater rhythmic and sonic diversity than either. I thought "Sequins" was already released on Force Tracks... I've not tried to pick it up yet, but I've seen it on some folk's playlists. Looking forward to it. -Ed --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Sequins has been out for a few weeks at least on Force inc and i agree his music is stunning. this is the only thing i've heard from Jirku but it's up there with any of the so-called "click house" stuff I've heard, definitely better than the Luomo project and way glitchier. It has more in common with the Chain Reaction crowd, but much less dense or dubby. anyway, check it out.... not to be missed. matt
