how about a good 'ol IDM-style poll for the best of 2000? we've seen some nominees on the list, but we at Grooves magazine thought we'd volunteer ourselves to do all the counting this year. so... send your nominees (1-3 in each category; please no top 10 lists for every one) for the following to sean@groovesmag.com: album of the year single of the year compilation of the year artist of the year label of the year newcomer of the year we will then tally up some finalists in each category and offer a chance for everyone to vote on the groovesmag.com site in the next couple of weeks. around the new year, we'll announce the results! thanks, sean Grooves Magazine sean@groovesmag.com http://www.groovesmag.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Sean Thanks for the offer to compile this, but I'm still interested in seeing an IDM List Top 10. I've been looking forward to this for a few weeks, even working on a tenative list for my submission. If someone is still up for compiling this one (I have deadlines and no time this go round), I'd love to see the tradition continue. It's one of the cool ways to get a chance at new music you might have otherwise missed and I always find something or three... ---brian ------------------------ Brian W.
