By substance: I'm refering to musicality, fresh ideas, innovative
production.
Not just screwing around in soundforge.
Plug-in disease- much like the dreaded over abuse of Kai's Power tools. When
the use of plug-ins or other dsp effects get over-used and abused. Usage-
"that autechre remix of skinny puppy really has plug-in disease" I believe
that
with all the new and exciting tools that are available to electronic
musicians,
its all to easy to over-do it with the effects and just end up as noodly
wank.
As for the cure, its hard to say because the epidimic seems out of control
;)
As for component: theres a bunch of info on our releases available @
http://www.mindstorm.com/component . The label is small and so
far just two releases. The codec remix disc- almalgamation is due
for release in a couple of days and features mixes by the likes of
proem, zammuto, solenoid, xyn, adrien75, and thug.
