I've been trying to locate early DMX Krew stuff on CD...either my luck is terrible, or I live in a DMXKrewless void or life sucks. Any suggestions as to where I might look (in the USA)?
Also 2 other pernts of interest: Whilst browsing the evil Napster for strange technomalies I came across a couple of things I found immensely curious.
One: A version of the Dr. Who theme performed live by Orbital.
Two: A Pac Man theme attributed to Aphex Twin and Orbital simultaneously, by differing sources.
The Dr. Who theme was just delicious. I can't seem to force the early childhood memories of the theme out of my brain. Never was a fan of the show, but as a kid I'd watch the opening of the episodes just to hear the music. I even went so dementedly far as to hold a tape recorder up to the mono TV speaker to get the theme on tape. How odd? Anyway...It did sound like a bootleg, this track...And it did seem like Orbital, and indeed another Orbital track was sliding into the mix just at the tail end of the track in question...What I need to know is: Is this in fact a track Orbital has been known to cover in concert, and is there in existence anywhere an actual CD of them doing the Who theme?
Two: The Pac Man theme. I find it humorous that hard beats accompany a song I frequently heard while wasting probably thousands of dollars in quarters back in the 80s. The same question as above: Is this in fact either RDJ or Orbital and if so is there in existence somewhere an actual CD of this music?
I appreciate your attention to these items...
