The whole Wendy/Walter sex-change thing has not been real clear to me. I have a copy of Sonic Seasonings on vinyl that says Walter Carlos on the cover. I have read/heard many stories as to why Wendy used to be called Walter. I have a hard time believing any of them. Even though she does kind of look like John Malkovich with a bad toupee! She/He was/is a huge influence on many artists today.(BoC being one of the obvious ones) I believe that Autechre noted her as being an influence in an interview a few years back.
