try looking into max/msp its pretty bare bones in terms of interface design,
and seems to be a really powerful app. i think most of the san fran min teco
producers use this, i think mr. clayton writes code for this app.

i am playing with the demo, seems extremly complex, you also need a keyboard
controller, a sampler and a midi interface to use it according to the manual
that comes with the download. wish i had some hardware to use with this. i
just got a mac g4 so stuff like reason seems appleaing when it puts
everything into one package.
but fuck it when you listen to a track your are not watching how it was
made, who the fuck cares about all this trite shit, if the music is good i
dont give a fuck how it was made, who's software has a better interface or
if its real gear or emulated code, its fucking beats and what ever else.
as a good friend once said, just fuck shit up anyway you can, that is the
objective.
