I just got an email yesterday telling me that the Raya compilation "Collectivism" is now available for direct sale from them. "Distribution in North America (Dutch East India), Europe (Paranoid), and in the UK via enlightened independent record shops, should be coming online in the next few weeks. The website for direct sales, "which should contain everything someone who wants to buy the album needs to know," is here: http://raya.org.uk/album/ I think it's a really good comp - those of you all excited about Cim might be interested to hear he has a track on Collectivism called "vittel." There's also an excellent, dreamy track from Simon Pyke (aka Freeform) under his "Nudge" alias. Check out their web site for more info. My site, "Cautious Persuit, the Freeform Fan Page," has a sample of the Nudge track and other info. ...over here: http://www.bigfoot.com/~freeform/ -adam -- Adam Piontek [http://www.tcinternet.net/users/damek/] ICQ: 3456339 [damek@earthling.net] ... http://raya.org.uk/album/ doesn't seem to be working. Never mind, here's a tracklisting. 01 abigail hatherley - dance in the mill 02 chilled by nature - nuances 03 nudge (aka freeform) - stack 04 klash productions - blue dub 05 ovni - energise 06 tom churchill - wide open 07 cim - vittel 08 message 4 friendly scientist - i'm sore with shift-option and beck u.k. 09 max - jazzy rhymes 10 les elles - rush for love 11 isabelle waidner - 3 mellow minilites for turntablists 12 muma sounds - fug 13 phantom beats - rumbler It is indeed a good compilation, especially the CiM (exceptionally good!), Ovni, Freeform and Tom Churchill tracks. Some of you might know Tom from the 313 list. Nice to finally hear some of his music. Never heard of some of these other names before but all the tracks are rather pleasant. I agree here. A nice comp with idm, techno, housey and trippy stuff, lots of variation. Highlights are CiM, Nudge, Tom Churchill and the very classic music orientated Abigail hatherly, very special track. Jeroen Ross Balmer wrote:
