Just kidding, not really. But awfully close:
In the Nov. 10, 2000 New York Times crossword, clue 30A read "Books printed
before 1501". While working it, at one point I had _ _ _ _ _ A B U L A, and
being an IDMer, thought "ha ha, wouldn't that be weird if it was..", and was
shocked when it turned out to indeed be INCUNABULA.
I guess I had been so used to Ae's current Nonsense-Words Naming Period, that I
forgot there was once an Obscure-But-Actual-Words Naming Period. Er, ok, so Egg
and Eggshell aren't so obscure..
