hello all, i just picked up these compilations: v/a "Neurokinetic: Toytronic compilation" (cat. no. toy5 (digital)) v/a "Cottage Industries: A Neo Ouija compilation" (neo 04CD) those who are into the new/old clean IDM sound (the one that's appeared to really make a resurgence lately) must do themselves a favor and pick these comps up. as far as i can tell all tracks are exclusive to each comp, but i'm not positive about that detail. The Toytronic "Neurokinetic" comp is superior in my opinion because it meanders between subgenres and crosses into more electro material (cim, Mr.Projectile, Novel23, Multiplex) but also picks up some more recognizable IDM names (Arovane, Fizzarum, Funckarma). There is hardly a bum track on the whole disc. The same goes for the Cottage Industries comp which includes Phonem, Plod, Hermann and Kleine (although not my favorite track by far), Clatterbox, Geiom, Yunx, and more. Check these out if you are into any of the newer Morr label releases, d.u.b., or any of the artists mentioned above; you will not be disappointed. matt ------------------------------------- _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
