Okay. I have only been to one idm/electro show in my life. It was Meat Beat Manifesto back in '96(?) in Cleveland. It was a dream come true for me, because Jack Dangers is a hero of mine. He was cool live. He was jumping around playing different instruments, keyboards, etc. It was a great experience. Don't laugh, but another great live show I saw was Pearl Jam and Grant Lee Buffalo. Everything else I have seen live has been pure shit! :) Did Aphex Twin and Moby(and possibly the Orb or Orbital?) ever tour the states together? Like maybe around '93-'94? I could swear I remember grabbing a flyer for a show at Union Station in Indianapolis, IN. Maybe it was called The Big Top tour or something like that? Sorry if this is a dumb ass question! I wish I would have gone! Yes. Moby, Orbital and Aphex Twin (joined at a few dates by Vapourspace). 'twas an amazing show except for Moby. I was glad he played last so I could leave and not miss anything important.

No, The Bip Top was one of the two big "electronica" tours that happened a couple of summers ago. This one was called the NASA Tour or something like that. Yeah, I think you're right. I seem to recall a logo on the poster that looked like the NASA logo, though. That's what made me think of it. forgot a couple- Phoenecia at that abandoned pet store in Silverlake (LA) this past spring. Or was it before the new year? King Crimson on the Thrak tour at the Greek a couple years ago. Two drummers, two bass/Chapman stick players, two guitars. Don Caballero at Spaceland a couple years ago. As brutal as Slayer (although sadly they are not anymore) and as intricate as King Crimson. best live shows i've seen hands down go to 2 completely non-IDM projects: Dead Can Dance.... the Spiritchaser tour from 1996, their last US tour. Anyone else who's seen them knows what I'm talking about. Einst?rzende Neubauten... the Silence is Sexy tour from this past summer. Saw them in Chicago, they played 2 full sets, totally brutal and beautiful all at once. +------------------------------------+ m.mercer :: systm audio-visual communicator http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/98/systm.html mmercer@kent.edu :: vletrmx@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
