A band that I've mentioned before is Imminent Starvation. Check out "Nord" on Ant Zen. IS is Oliver Moreau who also records as Axiome ("Rictus" is awesome, also on Ant Zen), Urawa, Torsion ("Jackson's Private Zoo 12" on Hymen), Ambre (dark ambient on Ant Zen) and probably others I don't know about. Another band is Somatic Responses. Check out "Circumflex" on Hymen. The one cd that hurts my ears most to listen to even at low volumes (in a Merzbow sorta way) is Winterkalte's "Drum 'n' Noise" on Hands. Wonderfully vicious noisy brutal similar to Dissecting Table. Ant Zen/Hymen have a lot of crap (PAL, Noisex) but a few good ones as well. Sonar is good. Try www.ant-zen.com. They've got a good links page with many downloadable songs and sounds from their artists. By the way, I'm always looking for cds along these lines to play on my radio show, so if anybody has any suggestions, I would love to hear 'em. :) np: Perfume Tree "Tide's Out." Does anybody know what's happened to them? Weren't they supposed to have some side project thingy? _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. For "HardIDM" you can always join the C8 list. Which, basically, is a forum for experimental Breakcore/Hardcore. There is a high ammount of wankiness on the list, but not as much as ol' IDM, so it's very manageable. Lots, and I mean *LOTS* of artists are on the list, so that's always a plus. Aside from that, here are some of my fave "HardIDMists": Somatic Responses Venetian Snares Atomly Substance P Lost in Translation Target Market Research DJ Scud Stunt Rock (kind of a stretch, but it's only IDM if we say it is) Doormouse Abelcain Oh, and white rabbits ;) -andrew -- andrew smith is white rabbits. http://www.konfused.net/~asmith/ Eupholus Records: (217)353-5188 http://www.eupholus.net/ "The stupider it looks, the more important it probably is..." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

They're amazing... Check out their stuff on Six Shooter and any of the Dropbass stuff. Actually, check out anything on SixSixtySix and Ghetto Safari... Very good stuff.. Kurt has some weird taste in music but he's often way ahead of the game... Richard Devine's first record (Polymorphic) was released on SixSixtySix and I still think it's his best work.

Yea, "Structures of Destruction" is another full length by them and it's absolutely amazing. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@curiousnetworks.com http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The new noisex 'serious killer' is actually pretty good. Much better than the 1920 release. The name of the perfumetree project is called veloce. Beyond that I know nothing about them....I had only heard about them through my friend Xyn http://www.perfumetree.com/vmusic.htm Rob component records www.mindstorm.com/component ----- Original Message ----- From: brian albers <brianalbers@hotmail.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, October 23, 2000 3:31 PM Subject: Re: [idm] Re: on the hard side

Also just check out everything on www.c8.com... There's a ton of good info on there. The artists Andrew mentioned (except that Atomly wanker) are all *very* worth checking out too. I posted a list of links a few weeks ago, try to find that post. Anyway, here are some off the top of my head: www.conceptualchaos.com (the cc01 comp is a great starting point... it includes all but three people in Andrew's list) www.angelfire.com/boybands/stuntrock/ www.lowres.com www.c8.com www.atomly.com/about/links/ www.c8.com/hotf/ The links sections in all of these will get you to a ton of good stuff, too. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@curiousnetworks.com http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
