I agree the Mike Paradinas was a big let down (IMHO).
I was hoping the Photek would have been a little more
like his other material, but I think Solaris is pretty
good. Tracks like "Mine To Give" (with Robert Owens)
were a turn off at first, but now I am ok with it.
Even if you don't like Solaris, the Terminus ep was
really good.

Photek made another lp right after Modus Operandi, but
he scrapped it because he thought it sounded too much
like his other material. Some of these tunes have
already come out, I am guessing the last 2 Special
Forces 12"s were off this scrapped lp. There should
might be some other ones coming out in the near
future.
He had an LP coming out on Photek Productions called
Sub Zero, but he scrapped that also. He said that
Photek Productions would only put out drum n bass.
There will be some other Lethal Volumes coming out.
Who knows when?

Here's more bad news for you, the next single off
Solaris is "Mine To Give". When I spoke with Rupert
Parkes, he said that there were some remixes from
Satoshi Tomii and David Morales (or maybe it was Roger
Sanchez).

None of the artists you have listed are "American". As
far as licensing evilness from elsewhere, that may be.
Is Warp & Rephlex evil for licensing Chicago house
tunes? They both have. "Mine To Give" is pretty much
a tribute to classic Chicago house.

I wouldn't worry about it. If it wasn't for Caroline
many good releases might still be out only on import.

It's doubtful an album like Jamie Lidell's would ever
come out domestically in the first place, if it wasn't
for some sort of licensing deal. The Two Loneswordmen
lp is pretty freaky also.

So they can go to court and say, "hey we aren't
selling shitloads cds" let's go to court. I'm sure
Caroline is familiar with Warp's output, and vice
versa. Making it easier for releases to find their
way in the shops is good for the consumers.
