The gig at the Westbeth Theatre Center in NY tonight is a Matador records
showcase for the CMJ Music Marathon featuring Pole, MC Paul Barman, Live
Human and Bardo Pond - for hardcore IDM-ers, the latter will be the sore
thumb on the bill, as they purvey slow, stoner-psychedelic rock with masses
of distorted guitars and a female vocalist who adds flute and violin -
they're very good at it, but it might not be your thing.
I don't know the order or times - you could try calling the theater at
212-741-0391

well if it's the same package deal i saw on tues night in chi-town, you
will miss farben and burnt friedman, who both rocked the house. it was
the best electronic music show i have seen in quite some time. all three
acts were equally (yet differently) entertaining, while still managing to
keep a certain cohesiveness of dubby german tekno done up right.
ditch work, steal a car, whatever. get there early and see these guys. if
they're playing. i don't know anything. ignore me.

Supposed to be in the village on Bank Street (west side). (Getting this
info from a friend who is coming with me, so if the name of the place is not
accurate I apologize). Apparently there are other IDM artists playing, but
it all starts at 7pm! I can't get there until 11pm, which is when Pole is
supposed to hit the stage. Is anyone on this list going? Who am I going to
miss? These are last minute plans, and the details are sketchy. Help is
appreciated.
