oh cry me a river. didn't you guys get pole, farben and friedmann just days ago? and atom heart just before that? and stops for pretty much every US tour that isn't limited to the east coast? the closest we get to idm in texas is wearing horn-rimmed glasses while listening to hard house. None of the warp acts (or their ilk) have EVER been to texas (someone correct me if i'm wrong). mind you, houston is the 4th most populous city in the whole damn country. going to see any of the bigger names that come through the US is absolutely out of the question, unless i feel like putting 1500 miles between me and where i live. or hopping the biggest damn spot of water you ever did see that ain't an ocean to get to miami. it's a bitter fucking pill, and hearing peeps from SF bellyache about how unlucky they are makes me want to go on a killing spree (starting with the 415 area code and working my way south). however, there's no shortage of Frankie Bones, Spacegirl and Bad Boy Bill appearances here in texas. . . ------------ 1642 try 621 ------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Oh come on! You're bunch of pathetic moaners! I've never had even a chance to attend an idm show, in fact idm artists have NEVER been to my country!!! The closest idm act I can remember was single coming of Squarepusher to Moscow in Russia (800 km from me) several years ago or so as a private event..... We have almost absolutely no europian or american musicians coming here except for those who have already died in your show scene.... Metallica, Bad Boys Blue or E-Type... 8( Praise God (or whoever you use for it) you have idm shows in your regions and do not forget that everything is judged on comparisons... Alien np. Legends say that Autechre, Aphex, The Orb, Ultramarine and several other magnificent Brits attended Moscow in 1992 or early 1993 to play at the Britronica festival. This was organized by one enlightened person, Artem Troitsky (he is the chief editor of Playboy Russia now). The experience was, hmm, tough for the artists, and the events went almost completely unnoticed (or misinterpreted) by the local public. A fairly humorous chronicle of that "bad trip" was available at the Orb's site at www.hyperreal.org I bet if they try this in 2000, they'd be more successful. Times have changed over there :) -- Stay tuned, MhZ mailto:mookid@sigent.ru ----------- The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
