any party by any large label is going to be disappointing, because of high expectations. try to enjoy the bits you can and ignore the rest, cos you're never going to be 100% satisfied. now, since idm-list seems to be the centerpoint of all whiners, moaners and pouters (which is STUPENDOUSLY obvious from the comments thrown around after _every_ release by _any_ major label _ever_), it is obvious that about 95% of you people went there just so you can flood idm-list with your complaints, and generally give as much disrespect as possible to the people responsible for the party, and warp itself. why did some of you fly over from the u.s. or wherver, if all you could do afterwards is write a whiney message? _nothing_ here is perfect. to insist that a party should suit to _your_ individual tastes is egoistic. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well, seeing as how it was a 'not for profit' gig...then the 60k they took in (plus the HUGE profit they were taking at the bar) must've gone straight into setting up the event. As it was, I didn't see anything like 60k+ worth of gig. G-love. http://www.gram.org.uk --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). do you think the artists got paid at all? i would hope so... even if they did work for cheaper than usual since this is for warp... and i'm sure the venue gets the money from the bar.. not the promoter. i'm sure the majority of the money went for paying for the acts. unless autechre, boards of canada, the skam bunch, etc etc, enjoy playing for free, in which case can someone hook me up? cheers, /derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

GBP 20 = 29 USD it is much but not what you have calculated... 8) btw. CDNOW sux. I used to buy from them CDs and was rather pleased with results but then a person from them contacted me by email requiring photocopy of my credit card as per their information I started to use new one... I explained that in my life I had only one card and it was Visa that I have now and used to buy CDs from them....After that they replied that Ukraine is a place were credit card fraud is thriving and they need some additional time to check my Visa. I gave them contacts of my bank and..... until now they did not resolve the problem... lucky Amazon, Skimo, Forced Exposure and others whom I order from - they sell stuff CDNOW refused to... stupid cdnow.... The venue almost always takes the money from the bar. Thats their money earner.
