>Aphelion >Metamatics
Metamatics is Lee Norris. He operates the Neo Ouija
label facility in the UK. Metamatics & Clatterbox have
a lovely (mellow/happy) electronica album out on Neo
called "Project Unison". All info can be found on the
re-vamped Neo site at www.neoouija.co.uk. Otherwise
you can check a full discog at
http://twoplayer.co.uk/
or go direct ::
http://twoplayer.co.uk/labels/neo/ . This
url contains good "Neobot" information.
Aphelion just released their full-length on deFocus
not too long ago, called "Zugzwang". A quality ambient
electronic album that will sink in entirely after a couple
of listens. They also have a 12" ep called "Click" on
deFocus (a more hip-hop/ambient sound), and a track
on the deFocus debut sampler 12". Perhaps you should
check more info by going to Stephen's Twoplayer site:
http://twoplayer.co.uk/labels/focus/. Or the tentative
deFocus site at:
http://www.smallfish.co.uk/focus/
You can listen to sound-clips on deFocus' eGroup site,
and join the mailing list at the same time for all the bits
of deFocus info, so you can see clearly. Sign in by clicking
on:
http://www.egroups.com/group/focusmusic.
Both deFocus and NeoOuija have been producing top-shelf
electronic music. Other labels along similar theory would be
Delsin/Sprout/Emanate/CCO/Morr/Dot/Involve/etc.
Pietro.
