Either should tell you the frequency and timing response of your room, after doing reverberation and absorption tests with various test signals (including sine wave sweeps). The absorption tests should tell you that, if a frequency range gets absorbed more than other ranges, you'll need to amplify that range with your equalizer. As far as reverberation, placement of speakers might help, but I think this is more a function of the shape and materials of your room. -- Alex Reynolds SAS Computing / Biology University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, PA 19104-6228 V +1 215 573.2818 / F +1 215 898.8780 http://www.sas.upenn.edu/~reynolda/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
