So, Plus 8 is holding a remix contest in conjunction with Sonic Foundry... They have 96 loops on their site and you're supposed to use Acid to remix it. Just thought I'd let people know, since it would be pretty cool to see some decent remixes up there instead of the stuff that they have now. BTW, the URL is www.acidplanet.com/plus8 and if you want to listen to the other entries, go to www.acidplanet.com, click on lounge, then browse, and then use the pull down menu to go to Plus8/Redux. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@curiousnetworks.com http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

anyone can enter the contest, but they're only considering *americans* when they choose who wins the contest. which is disgusting, considering hawtin and plus8 are *canadian* atomly wrote:

***canada is in north america, yes, but i was under the false assumption (my bad), that the contest is open to those only in the united states of america.

Hawtin was banned from the US for about a year a couple of years back because he crossed the border to play a gig in the states and didn't have the proper work permits. customs came down on him unnecessarily hard, IMO DynamiCell@aol.com wrote:
