1. this is a solid album. it's not amazing, but it's solid. 2. i find myself wondering how much of a band effort it is... i mean, the best track ('idioteque- ain't it just grand how the only real melody in the song is thom's voice? wonderful track) sounds like something that thom did in his bedroom... i wonder how collaborative it really was.. ah well. 'OK Computer' is still better.. / wells // wells@submute.net " i saved latin. what did you ever do? i believe that jonny greenwood (guitar) was actually responsible for most of the programming and keyboards... the other two guys were just around for sample source material :) interestingly enough, ok computer was supposed to be as electronic as kid a but they couldn't get past the learning curve of all their gear in time so the reverted to the guitars etc. -- String Theory : Digital Music for Humans http://www.enteract.com/~yoshi/index.cgi On Thu, 5 Oct 2000, wells wrote:

agree

That's what kinda struck me about the record also and like I said in an earlier post I think it feels that way because of the lack of guitars which used to be their signature sound. I always feel sorry for the drummers in these bands when they get into more electronic stuff.

exactly
quoted 1 line ah well. 'OK Computer' is still better..> ah well. 'OK Computer' is still better..
probably, definitely in the songwriting department, but I don't think that's the point on "Kid A". I think "Kid A" has its own kind / different kind of appeal.
