If i'm not mistaken, the tracks on the Funkstrong Live in 1998 MP3 were recorded at their performance at Speak In Tongues in Cleveland back in November 1998. That mp3 was available as a free download from the Bent Crayon website for at least 6 months after the show. As for the tracks in their set, they were all live improvisational tracks that, at the time, were previously unreleased. Yea, I agree. I have every Funkstörung release (except for MASK) and I have never heard these tunes before. I've read several articles with them saying that they usually make all new music for live show - rarely play songs as they are on the album if at all. Yet, I have a more recent liveset by them that is definitely pre-recorded material - off the Appetite album. They mix other artist's records in as well so maybe they are just mixing vinyl exclusively....wish I had more info on these shows...at any rate, that set will be available for listening soon.
