Speaking of jazzy idm... Been really into the Unagi Patrol cd on Carpet Bom called 'Elevate and Pool.' This cd contains nine tracks of laid-back idm infused with jazzy horns and playful tempo changes. At first it's an odd combination but quickly your ears alert you to the deeper more cerebral elements of this release. Another solid, genre-bending release from Carpet Bomb. Oh for those who dont know, Unagi Patrol is the collaborative effort between Carpet Bomb artists Dorian '½ of Microstudio' Gura & Adrien '75' Capozzi who also teamed up as Livestock and Microstudio.
