HEY... Remember that Volkswagon Jetta commercial that was on the air over a year ago... The one when the guy and the girl were driving through New Orleans and everything that was going on in the street was syncronized with the backround music. Very cool dubby kind of IDM.... It was discussed on the list, and the artist was mentioned. Who was it again? Whatever happened with that guy? Anybody own anything from him??? AND....an even more important question on a commercial.... More recently (about 4-6 months ago) there was a commercial for the volkswagon BUG... The new limited edition VAPOR color. It featured a song with a girl singing... "Silver sunglasses silver fun....." (the only lines I remember) Sounded like Lush / Cocteau Twins / Hooverphonic... I know it doesn't fall directly into the IDM genre, but I would really like to find this song... Does anyone remember the commercial? Know the song? -----Chris Judge: "Mr. Burns.. for your total disreguard of the law and utter contempt for humanity, this court fines you three million dollars." Mr. Burns: (Strapped onto a hand truck like Hannibal the Cannibal in "Silence of the Lambs") "Smithers, my wallet is in my right front pocket." Smithers takes a load of cash out of the pocket and puts it onto the judge's bench.. Mr. Burns: "And I'll take that statue of justice too..." Judge: "Sold!" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You are not going to believe this but I have that cd, and I have just started to check it out. Track 4 is the only one I've heard so far (Changer on random) And I made a decision at the time when I heard it to check out the rest of the album, but haven't gotten around to it yet. What a pleasant suprise! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I just saw a Coke commercial that has a track that I'm sure I have in my collection somewhere, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. The commercial was kind of mellow and low key....the end had a guy sitting on top of the roof of a house and a 3d animated Coke can rotating in mid-air. The music sounded more on the dub/groovy beat side of IDM. Anyone know anything about this? tekdz9er --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yup, it's Amon Tobin. "Deo" from Supermodified. I was bitchin' about this on the list a couple of weeks ago. I also saw a BMW commercial tonight that used "Get Your Snack On", the first track on Supermodified. He must be a rich man now. Good for him. the VAPOR commercial was in fact hooverphonic. the track is not released on the first 2 albums , if i am not mistaken. i got hooked on the track, went to the VW website, they credited hooverphonic, and i promptly went and bought the 2 hooverphonic albums. not too disappointed, some nice tracks on both. peeeeeeece, Jeff Davis <pHlow@earthlink.net> fon:216.266.6969 home.earthlink.net/~phlow/ <http://home.earthlink.net/~phlow/> fax:216.266.2360 hyperreal.org/music/rotator/ <http://hyperreal.org/music/rotator/> cel: 216.533.6303 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Snow" <4hedfred@optonline.net> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Wednesday, September 06, 2000 12:53 AM Subject: Re: [idm] Coke Commercial // Old Jetta Commercial // BUG commercial question
