yeah, isophlux got like, copyright/licensing privileges on "l'usine", much like how warp has rights on "autechre" and 'aphex twin'. so if any of them want to release on other labels, they have to change the name.. even if it's just a little bit. now, i'm not too sure on the ae, cos i know they released the "motor" ep on source, so.. cheers, /derek - - - - - - - "Extremism is no vice when God's on your side" -Opus the Penguin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yeah, L'usine's releases are some nice work. I just got the ICL CD release last weekend, as well as his zeal 7") I have to say that although I enjoy his ICL releases, they are a bit less thematic and well-organized (in terms of song structure) as his Isophlux release. However they are more varied stylistically, which is actually a nice change. agreed, it's very nice. i just saw this on the juno list: LUSINE ICL: Freak (Hymen Germany) 12": Feedme/Mod/Threshold Of Pain/Freak/Sem 4 (Y 028LP) [7.99] it appears to entirely taken from the U-Cover CD. weird. also saw this: STARFISH POOL meets VARIOUS ARTISTS: Lymp Three (Lymph) 12": 1 track & 26 locked grooves; incl. contributions from Kit Clayton, Lusine ICL, LLips, Sony Mao, Scenic (LYMPH 03) [6.50] i've also heard rumors of a split with Scenic on Eat This, but i can't confirm. ------------ 1642 try 621 ------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
