In an innocent moment on Hyperreal's IDM list, one person condemned one band,
and made suggestions of others that they consider better. The Oracle of
Reuterz declares that people all over the list are slaves to trends and
current conceptions of what is worthwhile, rejecting what they once enjoyed
and seeking to shame others! Nigh on a thousand silent listmembers are
reported to have said "what the fuck?"
The above is still relevant if you were referring to Kid606 fans at the same
time in the above quote.
If you do reserve the right to criticise, I reserve the right to say this
approach to criticism is seriously bunk. (if you want a fancy word, try
"intentionality"...)
Perhaps a quick paraphrase is in order, actually. You don't have to agree or
disagree or even pay attention. Just ask yourself what happens if you
constantly try to second guess everyone else and wonder where your time went.

Just ask yourself what your views on music are that you think this matters at
all. I could expand, but, fuck it, you do some work. Try and think up some
reasons yourself rather than just coming back with "well, fine, blow away your
cash".
Michael (heh, I think I got triggered by Alex as badly as he did by Andrei :-)
np. 'Stay Down' - 2 Lone Swordsmen (Hmm... two years old, but possibly I'm
trying to be cool, since they have a new album out, and I'm trying to show I
know their history. Or perhaps this is a comment on the fact that I prefer
this to the new stuff. Or perhaps I'm being ironic about it, and hate this
album. Hmm... boy...)
