its funny that you hear such mixed reviews about oval.
i am a huge fan. the guy makes great music. just look at all the people trying to cop his sound world.
i am sitting here right now listening to systemisch. gearing up for 2 oval shows this weekend in NY.

i got a chance to hear markus play at the MCA in chicago a couple of years ago.
he ended up starting his set at about 4am. and the set was really nice, mostly playing stuff from
szenariodisk. it was really loud and a big sound system.
it was incredible to hear his music on a loud sound system. all of the resonant bass frequencies come
through, etc.
anyways, it was a really good show (despite the shitty visuals that someone was doing)
i would say who cares if he is a nice guy or not. he makes really good music.
sure it helps if the artist is nice and doesnt mind chatting. maybe his english isnt great and he feels weird
talking to fans. i dont know.
its too bad that he wasnt nice to you guys.
but alot of IDM artists arent so cordial. aphex is the same way. we are all a bunch of people that sit behind
computers all day alone making music.
IDM people tend to be pretty socially retarded.
its too bad, but thats the way it is sometimes.
speaking of good live shows, saw hrvatski last night and isotope. good show.
hrvatski played a couple of new tracks that sound really great.
