Dear Friends: What's up? How have you been? I've been good. I wanted to write you guys to tell you about some shows. If you don't live on the east or west coast of America, read this anyway because this information is a lot more useful than somebody's opinion on some dumb record or whatever. Also, if you don't know who I am, I'm Cex and you're way behind on things. First of all, I have heard from the people in the Tigerbeat6 Records PR department that some of you are still ignorant of the fact that my live show is the best live show in experimental electronic music today. Scratch that, it's the best live show of ALL forms of electronic music TODAY, TOMORROW and 10 years from now. In the words of my close personal friend Notorious BIG -- "if you don't know, now you know, nigga." Those of you who are spoiled enough to live within an 8-hour radius of the following shows are required to attend, so make sure you get all your masturbating out of the way beforehand so your schedule is free and you're not late or absent. HERE ARE THE IMPORTANT DATES: September 30th, BALTIMORE MARYLAND at the OTTOBAR (http://www.ottobar.com), Cex w/ the Dismemberment Plan. The show is at 6PM sharp and costs 5$ or 6$. Get there at 5 PM and bring extra money to buy my records with. Also make sure you pee before you go because the toilet at the Ottobar is kind of nasty. October 5th, at ART-O-MATIC (http://www.artomatic.org) in WASHINGTON, DC (aka the united states's capitol.) w/ SK, Breedlove 500+ vs Pinkcourtesyphone (aka Dan Searing + Richard Chartier) & Trance and the Arcade. I don't really know the time and cost of this show. I think one of the interns at Tigerbeat6 got the fax and forgot to give it to me. October 22nd, at BOTTOM OF THE HILL in SAN FRANSISCO CALIFORNIA, w/ Blectum from Blechdom, Electric Company, Lesser & Kid606. This is the big chance for all you west coast ladies and gents to sneak a peek at the best live show in electronic music ever before it gets really big and you start hearing about it on Letterman and in all the magazines and newspapers: "Cex is So Great," "Cex gets a Gold Medal," "Cex brings peace to the Source awards." (those are magazine headlines.) This show starts at nine and costs 7$. If you're one of those anuses who go see a genius perform and then go "WHAT THE HELL! I COULD DO THAT IN FIVE MINUTES WITH MY (name of some hip computer program) AND MY (obscure analogue instrument of some sort)! DSP BLEAH! GOO GOO GA GA!" then you are especially invited to come and even TRY to say that shit after I'm done with my set. In fact, please feel free to come up and try to talk to me about gear and software because I think it would be good for you to realize how much better than you I am even though I really know nothing about gear or software. And if you own a record label and are trying to sign me, stop sending me those fucking annoying emails because I'm not for sale. I'm an artist of the people. To everyone else: I'll see you at the shows! and Feel free to write me an email if you need more information about these electrifying events (which are most likely going to be on everyone's lists of the hot 5 events which were hot in the 2000s) or if you'd like to describe what you're going to wear to the show and want to request that I specifically scream in your face and/or dry hump you during my set. -Rjyan "Cex" Kidwell http://if you want my website address you can find it yourself --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
