first of all, i'm sort of new to the list. i joined today, but i've been a member before. i was a bit intimidated last time around, as i didn't know much about idm save for autechre and aphex twin. so i'm back after some homework done and tons of money spent. i personally feel it's a very important part of performance, to show that you're having a good time. i don't care if you're making idm beats and or spinning cheesy euro trance, when i see a dj/performer enjoying what they're doing it makes me happy as well. like watching derrick may spin a set. he doesn't bust out his cardboard box or anything, but it's cool to watch him groove to shit when he drops down a record. although there's much idm that's not really dance around shit, there's definately some headnod shit. like you can't deny some head/neck movement to most gescom. well, i'm curious. what are some opinions of mr. oizo on here. i figure if anybody would be into his stuff aside from fuckin flat beat, it would be idm-ites. does anybody have _______ album on mp3 they can give me? or any live or rare ___________? i'm just kidding. hehehe.... don't you hate newbies like that? peace. a.

but isn't it much better knowing that the artist/dj is enjoying his own stuff and isn't just doing it because he/she's: 1) playing what he/she thinks you want to hear 2) doing this as a job i'm not arguing. just voicing my opinion, and refining my expression of it. a. ----- Original Message ----- From: Arnold Layne <l__________@hotmail.com> To: <alland@humbledesign.com>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 11:30 AM Subject: Re: [idm] hello! and (live laptop crap)
