I have another couple of rhetorical questions concerning shows- not necessarily IDM shows, but more applicable to raves and some others: Luke Slater djs in LA this Sunday night and I really really really wanted to go, but I have recently learned that he's not going on until 1Am and not finishing until 4Am. On a Sunday night/Monday morning. What the hell kinda shit is that? Like any normal person like me can make it to that show. What's the purpose in going on so late? Is it so advantageous to go on after midnight? Is there something distasteful about going on at nine or ten, especially if you're gonna be on stage for three hours? I don't see myself taking up methamphetamines before the weekend and therefore I don't see myself making it to this show. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. The bar managers want the headliners to go on as late as possible so as many people as possible stay and buy as much liquor as possible. Plain and simple. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@curiousnetworks.com http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
