Two of the artists on the Squadron compilation on Merck have mp3.com pages: www.mp3.com/komp - a few examples of his really nice crunchy electronica and a link to his record label Komplott where he has an album out called Vena. Well worth checking out. www.mp3.com/ambidextrous - More than an albums worth of totally gorgeous material! Highly recommended. And from the Neurokinetic comp on Toytronic: www.mp3.com/mrprojectile - This guy is amazingly good and he has quite a few tracks up at the moment though I have found he is liable to change them around so it's worth coming back every so often. A couple of his best ones are no longer online. Makes me wonder if I've missed any other gems. He varies from IDM to techno and even house styles but whatever he does it's all done well. www.mp3.com/multiplex4u - This is Multiplex (there's another multiplex on mp3.com, definitely not the same guy). He has only one track up from the Area-To-Area CD on Toytronic, but it's well worth having. www.mp3.com/digitonal - A strange one, this guy seems to be classically trained and there are some minimalist and classical pieces here along with some beautiful ambient electronica. www.mp3.com/abfahrt - Nothing but a notice saying they promised their lawyers no lawsuits! Strange... Well I'll check back later I guess. No page for Dude though (track one of Neurokinetic blew me away) what a pity! Anybody know anything about him? Well I can't believe I've got so much great music for free this afternoon! (I hope I haven't missed anyone out, if anybody finds out that I have let me know.) So I did! What a mistake! Fizzarum are excellent. The annoying thing is, they only have clips on thier page. I forked out for the 3 track DAM CD Rincing (available from mp3.com) which I'm still waiting for, although they make the mp3s available to you straight away so I have listened to it. It's really good, definitely worth the paltry sum of $6.
