fizzarum supposedly sent a demo to warp, it got neglected. how sad. "speaking of autechre comparisons, i think the funkstorung comparisons have died down, mainly with that new album (that didn't seem to get the best reviews...). it's good that they've developed into more of their own sound, but it's too bad more people liked them when they sounded like autechre... hmm... cheers, \derek" man i really love the new funkstorung album, i think it's just full of energy and it's one of the few 'bleepy' albums that actually makes me want to dance instead of just banging my hands again whatever is in front of me. why did it not get good reviews? and i think there's a few tracks that still sound like autechre, there's an obvious sample/similiy/whatever of/to under BOAC here and there. maybe it's just me.. however ae sometimes does go crazy with the cheesewiz, and that, i don't like of'em, it's like rdj or jenkinson.. they have the eligibility to make beautiful tracks, but when it's time to show off their skills they just fucking annoying me... "ooh look! my music is so weird, tell me how did i make it, come on, come on!" "oh you all suck i'm the daddy" "noooo.. i'm the daddy, wow so fast!" (IMO) it sure is fun.. but the difference between masonna and merzbow (just an analogy), is that masonna doesn't show off, he just explodes through noise, while merzbow is just fucking around with his crazy toys. i guess i just liked the funkstorung album alot.. sorry too much coffee :) e/spacek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Speaking of Fizzarum, has anybody got a copy of the long-sold-out CDR album which I'm certain I remember used to be mentioned in their discography but has recently mysteriously disappeared from it? From the little I have heard I think they are wonderful, I would love to get a copy of this.
