I think that's right. There's a few cool releases on Lo, but they're very scarce indeed unfortunately - stuff like the Aphex Twin meets Mike Flowers Pops and all the collaborations CDs (not that I've heard these, but I like the idea of them!)

Yes that is Vibert as in Luke, and 'Biswas' is Bedouin Ascent - I think they did collaborate a bit on Lo Records for stuff like Slack Dog etc. Haven't heard of "The Sharpest Tool in the Box" though - is that a Twisted Science release?

MLO is John Tye plus someone else (can't remember the name) and they recorded on Rising High. Anyone know when the new Jega album is coming out? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The Richard Thomas releases are all very interesting listening, as is most of Twisted Science's output - their 1st album on Lo is all over the place. Their 2nd album, _The Sharpest Tool in the Box_ is screechy, but in a good way. And Lo has had several very solid 12" releases, among which is the Fourtet vs. Rothko (who have several albums out now) and the Squarepusher vs. Richard Thomas "Carnal" ep. Let's not forget the first couple albums on Lo, which were compilations of some outstanding artists (Tortoise, Spring Heel Jack, Vibert, Underdog to name a few) - we would be fortunate if more record labels were as broadminded about what constitutes "electronic music". >Haven't heard of

Yes. It's a lot of noise and screeches. After a couple listens, it clears up a bit and becomes far more than this.

It is ! THey did 3 albums for R&S, but none was released... There's rumors that there are some White Label Test Pressings of those... Twisted Science's first album is one of the very few IDM albums that you might remember in ten years! The new compilation, Collaborations 2, is alright : The Sophia track and the Hrvatski are simply amazing!
