Actually, there are several versions of AI2, including the non-limited
1CD version, limited edition 2CD version, non-limited 2xLP and a limited
2xLP+12" (and perhaps MC version(s) as well). The extra 12" in the ltd
vinyl version contains another Darrel Fitton track, ``Metalurg'' (on the
first Bola EP on SKAM there is a track called ``Metalurg 2''). Curiously,
all the other tracks have durations mentioned, but with this one, the
label states ``there is no time''. A very curious track, too. Highly
recommended for Fitton/Bola enthusiasts. The extra 12" has Kenny Larkin's
``Maritime'' on the other side, also found as the last track on the ltd
2xCD (with a ``hidden'' Scanner track (from ASH1.2, track 2 if memory
serves) after it - the one where a man in procuring the services of a call
girl).
A more anal WarpOgraphy would be in order, Warp's site gives just the
standard edition CD track listing (I think). Why doesn't Warp serve the
markets they've created? :)
As for ``Blipsalt'', I have always liked it and it really stands out
with tracks like Link's ``Arcadian'' and Mark Franklin's ``Release To The
System'' from AI2. Speedy J's ``Symmetry'' almost brings tears to my eyes,
it is just s o d a m n beautiful.
I received my copy of Team Doyobi's ``Puschairs for Grown Ups'' on
Skam a few days ago, but it still hasn't grown on me. Sounds interesting,
though, maybe with a few more listens I can appreciate it. Meanwhile, I'll
just bang my head to the tune of Paul Mac's C-Sides output and the latest
offering on Product (who runs Product anyway? The five releases this
far have been just absolutely fantastic, though content-wise not much IDM
:).
What about the first release on Smak, is it out yet? Formats?
