hi, you might want to look instead into investing into a cheap sampler like the new korg electribe ES-1, or if your budget can accomodate it, an akai S2000 or emu ESI 2000 (or, even further up, a yamaha a3000 which has dropped in price recently). more flexibility in the long run (you're not limited to presets and have more flexible programming possibilities, esp. with the emu & yamaha), but a bit more expensive and a steeper learning curve. after you have done that, buy a decent FX box like the lexicon MPX-100 to mess with your sounds and just resample the FX'd output. you'll never run out of possibilities... if you go for an A3000, you won't even need this since it has great built-in FX. however if you want a quick fix the DR660 is a good choice and will certainly complement rebirth well since the latter is better for trance/straight-up techno/acid than "idm"... good luck, you can;t really go wrong with any of these ashok --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
