Here I am for one week in the UK, for the first time ever! and, I want to attend some decent music events. I missed MOM, & Ken Ishii + Speedy J last week, and I'm leaving before the upcoming festival where Underworld, Cypress Hill and others are playing, and I already know about the Bebel Gilberto show on the 14th or 15th, sooo, does anyone have any other suggestions? For those not in the know ; the somewhat disapointing (to me) Bebel Gilberto album (daughter of the megastar Joao Gilberto) features backing instrumentation on one track by the one and only Amon Tobin. It's just a remixy version of one of his tunes on Permutations, but still. And, the rest of the cd is okay if you're in a laid back new school brazillish sounding mood. Her next one will be badass, I bet.
