From the year '93 - 3PHASE : SCHLANGENFARM I was visiting a music journalist friend this afternoon, and found this lying on a pile. The NovaMute logo winked at me, and I've borrowed this disc. It's written and produced by Sven Rohrig and mentions Thomas Eckart and a whole long list of German sounding names and seems to be licensed from Tresor. Sven Rohrig sounds familiar - why would that be? Who are these people and have they gone on to do anything else, merge with anybody or turn into another group? Oh : haven't heard it yet, thus no comment on content. 3 Phase is the classic techno/acid trance guise of Berlin producer Sven Rohrig who released the anthemesque rave track "Der Klang Der Familie" back in the early 90s. Since that time 3 Phase/Rohrig has still be somewhat active but nothing quite as memorable as the early stuff. . 3 Phase & Dr. Motte: Dream Machine Ltd. 12" (Directors Cut) . 3 Phase: Rota 12" (NovaMute) . 3 Phase: Snafu Sessions 12" (Novamute) . 3 Phase: The Sun 12" (Planet) . 3 Phase feat. Dr. Motte: Open Your Mind 12" (Space Teddy) . 3 Phase: Der Klang der Familie 12" (NovaMute/Transmat) . 3 Phase: Straight Road 2x12"/cd (Tresor) . 3 Phase: Schlangenfarm 2x12"/cd (NovaMute/Tresor) Sven Rohrig (aka 3 Phase) was also responsible for: . Spacefrogs/Sven Rohrig: DJ 1 12" (Spacefrogs) . System 01: Victim 34 2x12" (Tresor/Interfisch) .
